2022: Year in Review
2022 has been a year of significant change and growth for developers worldwide. This year, we have also seen a rise in the use of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain, which have opened up new opportunities for developers to explore and learn.
The rise of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies has become increasingly accessible to developers, thanks to the release of new tools and libraries that make it easier to build and deploy machine learning models. Some of the most popular machine learning frameworks of 2022 include TensorFlow, PyTorch, and sci-kit-learn, CNTK which have made it easier for developers to build and deploy machine learning models for a variety of applications, including natural language processing, image recognition, and predictive analytics. We have also seen emerging tech tools like GitHub Copilot, Spark AR, Dall-E, MidJourney, Night Cafe Studio, ChatGPT, and VoiceMod.
Another trend that has gained much traction in 2022 is the use of blockchain technology. Developers have been exploring and using blockchain to build decentralized applications, which offer several benefits over traditional centralized systems, including increased security, transparency, and scalability.
2022 was a remarkable year for me, and a lot has changed. Many interesting things took place. Let’s get going.
❌My failures of 2022:❌
- I couldn’t attend the Google Crowdsource meetup in July at Google Office Bangalore due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Unable to complete AR/VR learnings/training — School of AR in May and School of AR 2.0 in October by Meta x Reskilll due to an unavoidable situation.
- Rejected from Women Developers Academy Mentor Program by Google.
- Disqualified from the Responsible Innovation Fellowship with Crowdsource Program. I made a huge mistake I copied some lines from the internet to answer a question and due to plagiarism, they rejected me.
- Rejected from Google Developers ML Bootcamp.
- Couldn’t attend Firebase Summit in New York due to the unavailability of visa slots.

- Started the new year with Wi-Fi Upgrade, a big thanks to my company Shiv Guru IT Solutions.
- Received Udemy course as a gift from the Github Star Eddie Jaoude.⭐
- Participated in Local Hack Day.
- Received swags from JinaAI.
- Played the Chrome Dino game on MLH Twitch Live Stream during Local Hack Day.
- Received MLH Local Hack Day Swags.
- I have created 200+ designs in Canva.
- A tweet of mine on valentine's got viral. Meme’s Coding shared it on IG and it reached ~67K.😂
- Received Prisma Swag for attending Next.js Conference.
- Received swags from Sawo Labs for winning a giveaway by Meme Coding.
- In February, I can’t believe I received a book (Booming Digital Stars) from the author Manish Pandey.
- Won second place in a college competition where the goal was to create a Spark AR filter.
- Won Web3 Resources in a Twitter giveaway. Thanks to Vikram!
- Received a bag from Reskilll for creating a Spark AR filter.
- Participated in a Raffle by Storyblok and won a CityJs Virtual Conference ticket. I was among the 10 people who won this.
- Participated in a Raffle by Storyblok and won a branded Storyblok water bottle. I was among the 50 people who won this.
- Participated in a Full-Stack-Squared giveaway by DevScript and on Feb 22nd won a cool T-shirt.
- Participated in a giveaway by Coders Evoke Community and on Feb 24th won a gift voucher.
- In March, received Hacktoberfest 2021 swags and a Hack This Fall certificate and swags.
- Participated in a giveaway hosted by Saumya Singh and won some fabulous NewtonSchool goodies.
- I was among 200 people who received $25 gift cards for sharing feedback! It was a 5-minute survey about our experience with Polywork.
- Hosted my first #GoogleCrowdsource Influencer event.
- After consistently playing Azure quizzes on Azure Developer Community on Discord Server, I secured 2 positions and won an eco-friendly mug.
- From April through July, I studied cloud technology also participated in Google Cloud Ready Facilitator program, and completed 3 milestones.
- I have been listed in the Google Crowdsource Influencers yearbook after becoming a Google Crowdsource Influencer in July.
- On the 10th of July, attend Google I/O extended event at NIT Patna hosted by GDG Patna.
- In August, my friend Yugandhar and I had the idea to start a local developer community, so we registered for TensorFlowUserGroup. Fortunately, our application was accepted. Since then we hosted 3+ events online.
- Became an AngelHack Student Ambassador.
- The month of October took part in Hacktoberfest 2022. I contributed to open-source for the fourth time this year.
- Participated in the Share your Script campaign by Google Crowdsource and contributed 50+ images of handwritten text. As a token of appreciation received a contribution certificate.
- In September, won cool swag from Altogic and company by participating in the giveaway on Twitter.
- Won a cool T-shirt from Storyblok for attending CityJS Conference.
- From September to November, learned a lot of things from Influence the Influencer Program. I was selected as Blue Team captain too.💙🤩
- On the Graduation Day of Influence The Influencer Program I won the Favorite Captain Award.
- On October 12th, received React Day Bangalore Swags for attending the conference virtually.
- Got a book as a gift from Rohit Ghumare for supporting him on Twitter.
- Participated in Postman Student Community Bingo Challenge and won some cool swags.
- Won the Twitter Growth Consulting giveaway by Mehul Fanawala and got to learn tips and tricks from him (the Meme Man), and made some awesome friends.
- I work remotely at Shiv Guru IT Solutions so I had the opportunity to meet our team in person in November.
- Received Symbl.ai swag for attending the HTF event.
- Won a book as a Diwali giveaway by Tanay Pratap.
- Won Fueler Premium as a giveaway.
- Got a $10 e-gift card from NetApp for attending MS Ignite or Google Next event.
- Attended GraphQL Conference, won the SwagDrop
- From November to December, I was volunteering DevFest Patna as an operation Team.
- Got a 30-day Pluralsight subscription from Adhithi.
- Started learning French & maintained 75+ days of Duolingo Streak (Still going on).
- Got verified on Polywork.
- My Linkedin followers have grown to 1400+.
- Crossed 570+ followers on Twitter, 1.4k followers on Instagram, and 75+ followers on Github.
- Our discord server Cool & Creative Dev Space has grown to 100+ people😍
- Got my hands dirty on Linux OS.
- Learned APIs, DevOps, Cloud Computing, AI/ML.
- Read 5+ books this year.📚
- Made 12K+ contributions on Google Crowdsource App and crossed level 22.
- Attended many Crowdsource ON AIR sessions and got to learn more from Googlers.
- Participated in the Local Guide Community Challenge and I was in the top 5% of contributors in India for supporting local businesses.

- In April, I attended the JU Rhythm college festival in Jaipur, where I met Afreen Rahat and Nishant Suri and saw live musical performances by Jassie Gill, Babbal Rai, and Prahaar The Band.🎶🎙
- I met in person with tech Twitter pals.🥰
- Got my passport and can’t wait to explore the world.
- The delivery man lost 6+ swags. Many thanks to the companies that reshipped.📦
- Got interacted with people around the globe through Crowdsource and Local Guide virtual meetups and made some awesome friends.🤗

As the year comes to a close, it is clear that 2022 was a fabulous year. With so many new opportunities and challenges to explore, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me in the coming years. Here’s hoping that 2023 will bring more stability and progress.💯🌻
